Open Question: Car video toy for 3 year old on long drive in car? Ideas?

I'm the technology deficient grandma taking 3 year old grandson on three 8 hours drives in the next week or two. I have heard there are some sort of lap video games (big buttons?) or things to hang on the seat in front of them to watch videos --- I don't know. I live in the country, 2 hours from any technology store of any type so I'm counting on someone being VERY specific about what to buy fast when we pass a Radio Shack or something. THANKS !!!!!...
